Welcome students to Highland Park Middle School and your seventh grade year! I am your humanities teacher, Ms. Hankins. I know this this year will be amazing and filled with fun and learning. Yes, learning can be fun. Hopefully, I can prove it to you over the course of this year. To do so, however, there are a few things you need to know in order to have a successful year. The first thing is that if you were Captain Kirk and his team and you were exploring a new planet, this site is the equivalent of the USS Enterprise. Meaning, this is your safety net and operation of control for the following year. You should report in often to check for new assignments and to check on upcoming events that might be occurring on your planet (ie tests, project, etc.). Also, you and your families back home can contact planet Earth (me!) if you have any problems or questions during your mission. Get ready to beam into an exciting new adventure!
